Own a Pony
Description
Do you have horse crazy kids? We are offering an opportunity for your child/children to experience an 'Own a Pony' for a day during the holidays. A small group is offered with a maximum of 4 children to enhance their overall experience.
We have safe and gentle ponies to cater to your children's needs. Each child will choose their own pony to work/play alongside for the duration of the programme. This helps them build their confidence with the ponies and also learn about what it involves when owning a pony.
With hands on approach we will teach the children the basics they need to know about owning a pony such as catching, grooming, tacking up and learning about the health of the pony. We will even have a visit from a farrier to trim to ponies hooves. The children will have basic riding instruction before heading off on a fun trek on the ponies. Painting the ponies (if weather allows) and plaiting manes and tails along with new found friends is a great way to finish off their day before covering the ponies and feeding them some treats. Each child will receive a certificate of achievement at the end of the day.

Essentials
No previous experience necessary, for children age 5-8 years. Programme offered during most school holidays 9am-2pm, get in touch for exact dates.
You Provide
Change of clothes Sunhat Jacket Closed in shoe or boots with small heel Long comfortable pants for riding. Parents to sign waiver and complete paperwork, contact numbers, allergies etc
